A Nigerian Pastor along with his companions sit in a police van as they were arrested on charges of drug smuggling. 7 Smugglers were arrested as 565 grams of Heroin and 4 Kilograms of Hashish was also recovered from them.
RAWALPINDI: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Rawalpindi has arrested a Nigerian national Pastor of Fatima Jinnah Church Islamabad and his brother besides other members of network including a Christian woman from Bangladesh and three Pakistanis for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
This was said by joint director ANF, Lt Col Wasif Sajjad while addressing a press conference in regional directorate Saturday. He told that the international smugglers have adopted the route of China to smuggle drugs from Pakistan and Afghanistan to European market.
The ANF ensured the checking of land and air routes effectively, broke the major network of drug smugglers and arrested international smugglers.
Giving details of the arrests he told "our assistant director Nusrat Ali Khan arrested a lady smuggler Minjo from the borders of Khost. She hails from Bangladesh. 700 gram heroin was concealed in the secret cavities of her shoes. She has been shifted from Gilgit to Rawalpindi. She divulged during the investigation that prince Okika and his brother Valentie were her accomplices. "I have gone to China four times earlier", she told.
Minjo, the Bangla Deshi lady smuggler had earlier come to Pakistan in 1990 and she got married to a Bangladeshi Christian here. She had obtained national identity card issued by NADRA and a readable passport.
During the course of investigation Mainjo told it was not difficult to secure Pakistani citizenship and passport.
Following her disclosure, Capt Junaid Ali conducted a raid in G-9/4 Islamabad and arrested Prince Okika and his brother Valenti besides seizing 500 gram heroin.
Prince Okika is pastor in Fatima Jinnah church who was involved in heinous crime of heroin smuggling under the garb of pastor.
